Declaration of Independence

Grievance from The Declaration of Independence

"He has dissolved Representative Houses repeatedly, for opposing with manly firmness his invasions on the rights of the people."

In The Declaration of Independence written by Thomas Jefferson and his fellow framers rebel against the opposition of England, being the strongest and most dominant country at the time. In one of the many grievances mentioned in The Declaration of Independence, the phrase listed above argues about the colonies not being able to have a say in the English Parliament. The colonists are recognized as a part of England, but do not have a representative in the government, angering the colonists greatly not being able to decide what is best for their own colonies.
Comparing this situation to the present, the colonies have become an independent country and is now known as the United States of America. Because the colonists fought so greatly to become part of the Parliament and was denied access, as a separate state country the United States gives each and every state representatives and senators. Following what The Declaration of Independence fought for along with many other grievances, the United States has currently become the most dominant and powerful country in the world. Without the brave rebelling colonists, this country will not be in the position it currently is to this day.

The Iranian President Hassan Rouhani has let out to the United States in hopes of establishing a secure alliance and to end the conflicts, from those obtaining nuclear programs being one of the main topics. As stated by President Rouhani, he told the Washington Post, "We must work together to end the unhealthy rivalries and interferences that fuel violence and drive us apart," Iranian officials claim to have the nuclear program for peaceful and energy purposes only, while other countries such as the United States believe that the nuclear program is planned to create nuclear weapons. Other nations are worried by this nuclear program because of the sole fact that Iran is not cooperating with the international nuclear authorities and they are not open about the subject. Countries obtaining nuclear programs such as the United States, Russia, and Japan emphasizes the power that country has in the world. With Iran creating its own nuclear program, it is a way of demonstrating that Iran is attempting to portray leadership in the world. Despite all the suspicion of Iran having nuclear weapons, President Rouhani said in an interview, "We have never pursued or sought a nuclear bomb and we are not going to do so."

Flash floods have struck Colorado and is one of the most devastating in Colorado history. With rain pouring on the cities of Colorado day and night, medical rescuers have been able to do a minimal amount of help with the natural disaster. It is unknown if the family members are unable to contact each other or have lost their lives, but the state of Colorado is doing as much as possible to solve this situation. It is announced that there is still rain to come, taking into account that about 15 inches have already fallen. The rain, having caused strong speedy rapids, is making the citizens of Colorado unable to evacuate in most areas, causing the medical helpers hopeless. "We're assuming some of them have been stranded, we're assuming that some made their way out and simply haven't contact us or friends and family to get off the list, we're assuming that there may be further loss of life or injuries," stated Boulder County Sherrif Joe Pelle. It is a way of showing that there is still hope, and the state of Colorado will never give up.

One of the all time astonishing movies, "Now You See Me", was one that left the world in complete awe. When recommended, most people tend to look at the movie reviews. In the review listed above, five main thumbs up subjects are acknowledged. Acting, special effects, the plot/story, the stunts, and the locations/cinematography. Acting, special effects, the plot/story, and the stunts all apply to the claim of value. Acting is all in the preference of the viewer, taking into consideration that each person has a different liking toward an actor. The special effects and the stuns are other subjects that depends on the viewer, making it claim of value. On the other hand, it can also be considered claim of fact because of the identified objects used to create these special effects and outstanding stunts. The plot/story of the movie is a major giveaway that it revolves around the claim of value. The location/cinematography aspect of the movie is a claim of fact. The movie shows many scenes in different famously known areas, including Las Vegas, New York City, New Orleans, and Paris. Known cities like these are what automatically obtain the viewer's attention. This makes the location/cinematography of the movie claim of fact.
For those that are wondering what "Now You See Me" is about, it is easily one of the most extraordinary movies of the decade, possible century. Consisting of action, illusions, suspense, love, and trickery it is a must see movie for those that are into all, one, or even none of these genres.

The delegation of Tokyo rose up in cheers and celebration when the winning city for the host of the 2020 Olympics was announced. Ahead of Instanbul and Madrid, Tokyo has been voted to become to host for the Olympics, making it the first Asian country to host the Olympics twice. They had been awarded the honors of hosting the Olympics in 1940, but had to be cancelled due to World War II. London's mayor Boris Johnson sent a "huge congratulations to Tokyo for winning the honour of hosting the greatest sporting spectacular on the planet". "I am sure that, like London, your great city will put on an extraordinary event. This is a magical moment of celebration to savour before the years of hard work ahead." London, hosting the previous 2012 Olympics, achieved a speechless spectacular, including an entrance from James Bond which left everyone in awe. Tokyo is expected to achieve more than what London had done, having set high standards for them. One major scare was the failing Fukushima nuclear plant near Tokyo, but the Japanese prime minister addressed, "It has never done, and never will do any damage to Tokyo." Seems like the world will have to wait and see what performance Tokyo will give the historic event on 2020.
